Integrity
Your security is our number one priority
When you play at Poker Player Cafe we can assure you that our games are fair and that we do everything possible to create a quality gaming experience for our players. The shuffling algorithm is critical to ensure a fair game and Poker Player Cafe investigated many solutions before implementing what we have today which e believe is a superior one. The Random Number Generator (RNG), used for randomly selecting cards, is at the heart of the shuffling algorithm and guarantees a uniform distribution of cards whereby no sequence of cards can be predetermined or predicted. The RNG is kept separate from the game itself and has no idea who is sitting at the table or how the game is being played. You cannot get a more secure shuffling than this.
If you require any further information about the fairness of our games or Poker Player Café's shuffling implementation, please contact us at security@pokerplayercafe.com.
RNG Certification
Poker Player Cafe's Random Number Generator has been independently tested and certified by "Technical Systems Testing" (TST) laboratories. Click here to view our certificate. TST has long experience of testing software and equipment for the gambling industry, and testing is done against manufacturer's specifications, legislative and regulatory requirements, and to generally accepted industry standards including:
Extra crypto protection
To benefit from the highest level of security, Poker Player Cafe uses the cryptographically secure RNG system developed by Microsoft. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has validated that the outcome of the RNG cannot be predicted even by using a large amount of computer analysis when using this extra layer of crypto protection.
-
Microsoft's CryptoAPI RNG complies with Federal Information Processing Standard 186-2 appendix 3.1, using SHA-1 as the G function. It has been validated by the NIST's Cryptographic Module Validation Program. Details on this may be found here.
-
Since computers are deterministic machines they cannot produce truly random numbers. This is the reason why computer RNG's are commonly referred to as Pseudo RNG (PRNG). The PRNG used by Poker Player Cafe is highly random and highly secured as proven by the NIST's tests of Microsoft's CryptoAPI, which is the critical building block for the PRNG.
