About Gold Chips

If you’re playing for real money, you are earning Frequent Player Points (FPP) which accumulate into Gold Chips! Any time you pay tournament fees or rake at a cash game you earn FPPs and consequently Gold Chips. Check your Gold Chip Meter under the Rewards tab to see how many FPP points you need to get to your next Gold Chip.

Every day you can redeem your Gold Chips for a shot at our Weekly Gold Chip Giveaways or any of our Gold Chip Sit & Go's. Since your Gold Chips do not expire, you are free to use them whenever you wish.

Earning Gold Chips

All players earn Frequent Player Points (FPPs) when playing real money ring games or tournaments. With us, FPPs accumulate to become Gold Chips, which are redeemable for free tournament play.

Frequent Player Points

When you are dealt cards in a real money ring game, you'll earn 1 FPP for every dollar raked. We believe a penny played should be a penny earned, so we're accurate down to the penny when it comes to FPPs. For example, if your table was raked $1.25, you will receive 1.25 FPP.

In tournament play, you'll earn 7 FPPs per dollar in tournament fees paid. The tournament fee paid is indicated by the "(+ $)" when registering for a tournament. For example, if you joined our $100,000 Guarantee event for $300 (+$20), you would earn 140 FPPs.

Ring Games: $1 Rake = 1 FPP
Tournaments: $1 Fee = 7 FPP

Turning FPPs into Gold

The question you are likely asking is, how do my FPPs become Gold Chips? The exchange process of FPPs to Gold Chips is automatic. FPPs accumulated turn in to Gold Chips at a descending rate; each calendar month. After earning your first Gold Chip, you'll need fewer FPPs to earn your next. And so on. Please note the earn rate below is reset at the beginning of each calendar month.

The more you play, the quicker you earn:

First Gold Chip = 120 FPP
Second Gold Chip = 115 FPP
Third Gold Chip = 105 FPP
Fourth Gold Chip = 90 FPP
Fifth Gold Chip = 70 FPP
Sixth Gold Chip = FREE*
Seventh + Gold Chip = 70 FPP

Gold Chip Lover

We also offer 'Gold Chip Lover' Sit & Go events offering both Gold Chip buy-ins and cash prize pools. It's a great way to double, triple or quadruple your Gold Chip stack for use in larger Gold Chip buy-in events. Gold Chip Lover tournaments run daily under our Gold tab with buy-ins starting at only 2 Gold Chips.
